Chocolate

Have you ever dreamt of taking a cup of that mesmerizing chocolate-river in Charlie and the chocolate factory? I have, and the dream came true just the other day.

Hidden from the busy Passeig de Grácia, just next to Casa Batlló is Faborit Café. It has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a small backyard where you can sit back in an armchair and enjoy your coffee, sallad, cake or, in my case, chocolate dream.

Now to the stuff that really matters. The chocolate-dream. The cup of thick, dark chocolate with a generous amount of whipped cream on top. They scoop it up from a magical chocolate fountain in the counter and it's served with toasted bread to dip in this chocolate dream. Bread and chocolate may seem like an odd combination, but the saltiness of the bread balanced the rich taste of the chocolate just perfectly. My chocolate needs were fulfilled after this portion, but for the even hungrier ones they have a shop with all kinds of extravagant chocolates to take home (if it makes it through the way ;) )
