Friday - part 2: Centre Pompidou
Part two of today is photos from Centre Pompidou! I don´t have any good pictures of it, but the building itself is so cool; things like big pipes, escalators and lifts are placed on the outside wall, all painted in bright colors! The escalators were covered in glass so you had a beautiful view over Paris from there!
We were so lucky; one of the exhibits was with one of my favorite artists; Roy Liechtenstein! He´s a very famous pop-art artist and ther was around 150 pieces of his art.
These are really awesome statues made of plastic by Liechtenstein
One of my favorite statues in Pompidou was this one. I don´t know the artist´s name, it is a huge statue covered in fabric and it looks intresting from any angle!
This looks like slime - it´s fabric "socks" with spices in them (that´s the lumps). It looked and smelled odd
I didn´t know what these resembled at first, I thought it was only big lumps of tin foil. At a closer look you can see that they are very realistic statues of huddled up humans! I found them a bit creepy, they really looked like there was real humans inside. Taking a look at them from the other side turned out to be even creepier...
...they´re hallow. They are freaking me out a bit.
Cool neon-art
